Q: How does BallotBright help me campaign over door knocking or existing voter guides?
A: Most campaigns go after the same 20% or so of voters with a history of voting in the past. However, many of the 80% of eligible voters who don't regularly participate don't because they read about elections online, and information on local candidates is hard to find. If they don't have time to scour the internet looking for all the candidates, it feels pointless to then go vote for someone who may or may not have aligned priorities. Existing voter guides rely on surveys sent to campaigns, so candidate info is often missing or too verbose. Voters don't want to track down every candidate's personal website or Facebook page either.
