BallotBright

About

Hi. We're two MBA candidates at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and one longtime friend. As voters, we saw just how frustrating it was to learn about local elections so we could then go vote. With sometimes a dozen candidates on the ballot, many running uncontested, it felt hopeless to identify candidates that aligned with our priorities. Existing voter guides either had sparse, incomplete information, or way too much to analyze with the limited time we all have.

We built BallotBright: a nonpartisan, virtual meeting house where any candidate can campaign, and where voters can easily connect with and compare them all in one place. Local elections usually impact our lives the most. Voters should know who they're electing to lead them, and anyone passionate about making a difference should be able to run, no matter their level of fame or financial means.

We started in the spring of 2026, and we hope to improve agency and transparency in elections in every state in the U.S. If you're a candidate, voter, or anyone who connects with our mission, reach out.
